I always remember in a school play, when the teachers took part, one of the more elderly teachers walking across the stage holding a large clock and saying “time passes” – well hasn’t it just- already into 2019 with Christmas and New Year gone.
At Wolfscastle Country Hotel , Allt Yr Afon to the locals, we had very successful Christmas parties, Christmas day & New years Eve, all well accoladed. Now we look forward to our Michael Bublé tribute night which is already sold out and Valentines dinner on February 14th offering a 6-course dinner and coffee for £42.50. To celebrate Valentines – and in fact any time – we have also created a Romantic Escape gift voucher which includes a nights Double room B&B with homemade baileys truffles, and prosecco in the room, a three course dinner and ½ hour spa treatment each and use of our thermal suite for £240, this voucher can be purchased direct from our website.
Freddie our golden cocker spaniel and I have been walking the blustering Pembrokshire coastline, I sometimes think even more beautiful with the waves pounding on the shoreline & devoid of people. We also walk through the woods adjacent to the hotel and watch the Eastern Cleddau river as it rushes downstream and out into the Milford Sound.
In late November we were nominated at the Welsh Hospitality Awards in Cardiff again for the “Most Romantic Hotel in Wales”, which we won in 2017 and for the “Best General Manager in Wales” So I must thank our Management team Mike & Lee and thank all the hardworking staff who pulled together to earn this accolade. Also Rosie, the Reception Manager of 15 years, and Lee collected a prize for “Best Dog Friendly Hotel” in Pembrokeshire. The glassware is mounting up.
