The Wolfscastle Country Hotel & Spa is proud to announce that its Head Pastry Chef, Youssoupha Dias nicknamed ‘Adama’, has been selected to represent his home country of Senegal at the upcoming World Pastry, Ice Cream and Chocolate Championship, hosted by the International Federation of Pastry, Ice Cream and Chocolate (FIPGC) in Rome, Italy.
Senegal will be the only African nation represented at this globally renowned competition, a testament to Chef Dias’s exceptional talent, creativity, and dedication to his craft.
Having honed his skills at some of the UK’s top hotels and restaurants, Chef Dias has built a reputation for creating world-class desserts and intricate chocolate work that delights both guests and judges alike. Later this year, he will join his fellow team members in France for intensive practice sessions, where he will focus on his specialism in chocolate artistry, while his teammates prepare across other key areas of the competition.
