We are so proud to be named one of the UK’s top dining destinations as part of the most recent AA Rosette Awards. All of our staff at The Wolfscastle Country Hotel are overjoyed to be awarded one of the most prestigious accolades in British fine dining for the food in our Allt Yr Afon restaurant.
The award has been given by the AA Hotel and Hospitality Services to restaurants in the UK and Ireland since 1956. The rosettes are given to restaurants that have achieved high standards of cooking, with more rosettes meaning a higher rating. The Rosettes were originally included on a travel guide made by the AA to recommend people on journeys to either stop on route to amazing eateries or if the food was even more outstanding, they’d recommend making a detour especially to experience the cuisine.
We received three AA rosettes in these latest awards, along with 14 other restaurants across the UK, with The Allt Yr Afon being the only Welsh restaurant recently awarded! Two restaurants even received four rosettes.
Being a part of this prestigious group means that it probably puts us in the top 1% of the best restaurants in the UK!
