1st November 1976 I bought a premises in Wolf Castle, Pembrokeshire, known as Allt yr Afon which was once the village rectory and opened it as a 7 bedroom hotel & restaurant.
This was quickly extended to include 2 squash courts and a further 6 bedrooms. In 1985 the banqueting suite was added to the hotel and recent additions have been the Garden Room, Brasserie & boutique Wellness Spa creating a 20 bedroom hotel with facilities.
The Wolfscastle Country Hotel has been awarded 4 stars by the AA and the Allt yr Afon restaurant has gained 2 rosettes.
We pride ourselves on sourcing the majority of all our produce locally and to further enhance our green credentials we have had an electric car charger installed in our car park for the use of residents & non-residents.
Situated only 10 minutes from Haverfordwest and the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline the Hotel is ideally located to explore the many delights that Pembrokeshire has to offer.
Over the past few years, The Wolfscastle Country Hotel & Spa has gained many awards which include A Pembrokeshire Food & Hospitality award, best Dog-friendly Hotel, Best Hotel General Manger and twice we have been named Best Romantic Hotel of the year, all at the Cardiff Awards Ceremonies.
To enhance the romantic experience, we refurbished our Stirling Room to include surround light & sound, a free-standing bath in the bedroom with a view of the distant Treffgarne Rocks as well as a modern en-suite shower room.
The Wolfscastle Wellness Spa continues the experience where you can indulge in the many treatments we offer and be pampered in a relaxed restful environment.
To celebrate 45 years under the same ownership which is now myself, my wife Mandy & son Tom we have recreated some memorable nights to take place throughout the year starting with “Quaff my Bluff” 12th May
